Buy a Knight and Save the Day!

How would you like to give a gift that is truly original, one-of-a-kind, unique and attractive?  How would you like to have one for yourself?  My knights are just that.  Each one is painted by hand, and no two come out exactly alike. I give each one a different touch, a unique finish. The result is that you get a knight which is a unique and different individual.

This is my personal "folk art."  I enjoy making unique miniature figures.  Even more, I enjoy putting my miniatures in the hands of people who will love having them.  This is why each one is unique.

The process begins when I cast these knights in metal. I cast each knight from molten metal, using a mold.  What comes out of the mold is a an unfinished toy knight.  After the metal cools, I trim and finish the miniature.  That includes using a tiny file to trim any rough spots. The result is a nice miniature with excellent detail.  The figure is then coated with primer.  Finally, it is painted and fitted with a weapon.  A few were given plumes and crests; others received siege shields.  Most merely hold their weapon of choice.

Each knight is $12.00.  That includes the cost of packing and postage.  The money is going toward adding to the Army Men Homepage and All Gauge Page.

When you buy one of my knights, you get a one-of-a-kind miniature.  No two are painted exactly alike.  He is ready for you to display, or to give as a gift.

A Classic is back!

In 1964, Bob Bard wrote this excellent text on the events at Gettysburg.  His vivid, day-by-day account brings the Battle back to life.  He skillfully imparts a feel for the harsh days at Gettysburg.  Bard followed up by explaining the uniforms and flags of the combatants, and finally introduced a simple miniature wargame that could be used to replicate the battle.  As the premier purveyor to the military miniature hobby, Bard's work was aimed at the military miniature collector and the budding miniature wargamer.

We have faithfully reproduced the text and illustrations of "Four Days at Gettysburg".  Written during the heyday of the Civil War centennial years, it is a unique little work that deserves a place in the library of every serious Civil War buff and military miniature collector. 35pp with map and illustrations.
