US Bayonet 1875

This is the 1875 version of Upton's Infantry Tactics, a Manual accepted by the US Army.  It describes the US bayonet system and is identical to the method used from the Civil War to 1916.  This text includes more descriptions of the techniques. What we have here is a refinement of the system that had been developed by McClellan in 1852.
