Light Cavalry 1799

Part 1


In the 18th Century, the Angelo family had a reputation as fencing masters.  In 1799, Henry Angelo wrote a manual for the light cavalry entitled Hungarian & Highland Broadsword.  It was itnended for British troops  These are amazing illustrations of the cavalry of the time.  This is a typical type of swordsmanship for its time, and it lasted well past the Napoleonic Era
