The Navy enjoyed several victories during the Spanish American War. The photos below are of U.S. sailors in 1898. A particularly amusing set are those of sailors watching a successful attack on a Spanish ship. Both blue and white enlisted men's uniforms have changed little since then. The major change is the retirement of the "Donald Duck" hat in 1963.
