An Exercise in Attainment
We begin with an honest look at our place. The sky itself is our teacher. There are Sun and Moon , stars and planets. They move as they will, each in its course. The same goes for the seasons. Each follows the next, each takes the full measure of its time. Winter to Spring to Summer to Fall and back again to Winter. You abide within this.
Under the stars and planets, and within the season, you live and move. Sun and Moon affect you as Day and Night. Seasons affect you by their changes in weather and other things in the world around you. However, you are not an idle observer. You are also an active participant within this movement of seasons and stars. You live, breathe, eat, sleep, and interact with the world around you in myriad ways.
You have a place in the Universe. Today, your place is here, in this world. We know that even when people die, they only move to another realm. The millions of stories of people who had connected with departed friends tells us that though they are distant, they are still within the All. They still have a place. We all need realize that wherever we are, we have a place where we live. We have every right to our lives. You have a right to your life. You have a right to be you.
You are a unique part of the All. There is only one of you. You are one among billions on this world. You are one among uncountable many within the All. The fact that you are here means that you are important enough to be an active part of Life. Nothing that others can do or say will change that. You are unique and valuable.
Meditation: Think of the movement of stars and planets, Sun and Moon, seasons, time and tides. Now think of your place within them, of your life and yourself. Knowing that everything has a good reason to exist, realize that you also have a purpose. Your life has meaning and makes a difference. Meditate on these great cycles and your place within them. Appreciate that you are a unique part of it all, a participating partner in the Universe..
Thought for the Day: I abide within the Universe as a full partner. I am a unique and valuable participant in Life.
